Who Me? I’m just laying here being good.
With feeling a little better each day comes a little more sneakiness each day. A few sneaks up onto the couch this week; a sneak dash from the sun porch into the living room when the leash gets away from Jay for a moment; a sneak into the bathroom while I’m busy brushing my teeth; and a couple of other ‘sneaks’ too.
Willow now walks from the mattress out to the sun porch to sit in the sun, but also to watch the neighbour dogs frolic about their backyard. Her vantage point is elevated and excellent. If they get too boisterous Willow barks at them and they settle down. We keep the screen door locked in case she decides they need a more stern correction. I envision her pushing the door open and taking a diving leap off our porch to accomplish the task. That sneak is too much to risk, so nudge the door as she might, it’s staying locked.
The dogsitters all tell the same story: “She’s happy, she sleeps a little, she’s bored, she eats well, she’s waiting for something. I wasn’t sure what, so I gave her a peanut butter bone.” Needless to say, Willow has spent the last three weeks training us well – that has helped her to pass the time, I’m sure.
All good things to report today. Next vet appointment is Tuesday, June 11th. Hoping for good feedback from the doc.
